When the Story Cracks: Writing our way to the Tikkun
In-Person at ANU, as well as via ZOOM.
In the aftermath of October Seventh, as in previous Jewish crises, voices are rising from within the Jewish people offering clarity and direction—seeking to explain our reality, how we arrived here, and how to emerge stronger than before.
Leading up to Tisha B’Av, the day when we collectively remember the tragedies of the Jewish people and the narratives that emerged from them, we have an opportunity to grapple together with the imagined futures taking shape within our current crisis. Understanding that the October Seventh crisis encompasses both Israelis and Diaspora Jewry, our panelists will wrestle with a fundamental question: Should Diaspora Jews and Israelis formulate their imagined futures separately? Or is there a narrative expansive enough to encompass us all?
