On July 27, 2024, the life of Pavel Kushnir – musician, pianist, and educator – was tragically cut short in a Birobidzhan prison, where he died for his beliefs.
On September 19 of this year, Pavel Kushnir would have turned 41, but he will forever remain 39.
A scholarship in his name has been established in Great Britain for students from Russia, Ukraine, and Belarus who need assistance to begin or continue their studies at higher music education institutions in Europe and Great Britain.
The first year of the scholarship has resulted in thirteen recipients, who are now pursuing their musical education in Paris and Rotterdam, Weimar and Graz, Salzburg and Lucerne, Vienna and London.
We invite you to the third concert in support of the Pavel Kushnir fund. For this concert, we have included only joyful and our most beloved musical pieces.
