By examining the work of women such as Diane Arbus, Madame d’Ora, Claude Cahun, and Nan Goldin, we will explore the contributions of Jewish women to visual discourse, social struggles, and the documentation of changing cultures and identities. The lecture highlights the challenges they faced as women in a global arena, and the way they used the camera as a tool for personal and political expression.
