When Golda met Barbra

Barbara Streisand and Golda Meir were two of the world’s most famous women in the 1970’s. As Streisand launched her block-buster career, Meir was the third woman in history to become a leader of a democratic country (and the first such leader not to be related to a previous male leader of the country).

Despite an age gap of 44 years, there was much in common between these Jewish women – including upbringing in America. The love and affection between them can be clearly seen in this video.
